چکیده
once the lesion is removed it does not reoccur. In the presented case we have evidence to the contrary. Even though the lesion was removed with an Endopouch, there was obviously a contamination of the pleural space. This might be because of residual material of the hamartoma within the lung tissue or manipulation with the instruments. Parenchyma-sparing wedge resection of is probably the better method to resect a pulmonary hamartoma to avoid chest wall contamination.

Bronchogenic cysts with malignant change are rarely reported. We describe a case of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma arising from a cervical bronchial cyst in a patient presenting with a thyroid mass, cervical lymphadenopathy, and initial biopsy suggestive of papillary thyroid carcinoma. The clinical presentation, intraoperative findings, radiographic images, and pathology slides are presen...

INTRODUCTION Bronchogenic cysts may rupture or become infected, and malignant degeneration may occur. Although various types of malignant degeneration have been described, only a few reports of mucoepidermoid carcinoma arising from a bronchogenic cyst have been published. We report such a case. CASE A 77-year-old female was referred to our institution for evaluation of left chest pain. A comp...

sequences. One possible explanation for the high signal intensity is the presence of proteinaceous material within the cyst. Cyst fluid that has a low specific gravity and is mainly serous (a “spring water” cyst), will show very low signal intensity on T1-weighted images and have very high signal intensity on T2-weighted images. Most bronchogenic cysts contain large amounts of proteinaceous mat...

A primary intraosseous carcinoma (PIOC) is a squamous cell carcinoma arising within the jawbone andshould be differentiated from a malignant ameloblastoma. It is not due to arising from an odontogenic cyst or tumor. The possibility of the lesion being a metastasis fromanotherprimary site should be considered, and excluded by a careful history and examination. The diagnosis of a PIOC is ra...
